Hanging with my bat buddies

11:58 AM

For a little over a month, I have had the pleasure of getting to volunteer at the Lubee Bat Conservancy. Lubee is a bit of a hike from my side of Gainesville, about a 30 minute drive, so I only get to go out there once a week.

Last week I had the privledge of taking quite a few shots of the megabats for an assignment in one of my classes. I felt like they they turned out pretty swell so I thought I'd post the nine I turned in for my assignment up here. I might round it out to ten later when I have a little time to pick out another shot.

If you're interested in learning more about Lubee, head over to their website.

They're only open to the public for tours and during their annual open house Bat Fest, which is coming up on October 25th, 2014.

If you're interested in seeing more photos of the bats, comment below.

On another note, I'm working on my first video-blog right now which should be up within the week.

If you want to watch some super swell YouTube videos in the meantime, hop on over to my cousin Angel's new channel.
