On Thursday October 9, 2014 I went to the ShandsCair hangar for a celebration for the 10 year anniversary of UF Health’s Level 1 trauma center. I went there to shoot a gallery of the event for WUFT's website.

I went out under the assumption (as usual) that I was the only person that was going out to the event from WUFT. Shortly after I arrived Sarah Kimbro, Kelly Johnson and Elgin Rucker joined me. We had some difficulty actually figuring out how to get into the event, so we missed the actual ceremony. Luckily many people were still hanging around to make conversation and to tour the helicopters at the hangar.

This assignment remains the most exciting assignment I've had the privilege to cover. This is primarily because the four of us, as well as a reporter from GTN (I'm however not positive that that was where she was from), were given the amazing opportunity to ride in a helicopter.
